"CRICKET FOR SMILES" is cricket's way of making a difference, of bringing people together.
The 9.0 earthquake and the tsunami that occurred on March 11 2011 in North East Japan was the worst natural disaster in Japanese history. Around 20,000 people have died or are missing. Hundreds of thousands of people have lost their family, friends, home, work, and even their smiles. The Japan Cricket Association (JCA) set up “CRICKET FOR SMILES AID: 2011.3.11 Disaster” with the aim to provide smiles, hope, and courage through cricket to the children who have been affected by the disaster.
