7th Cricket Blast Series in Kaizuka

Summer Holiday Cricket Experience & Study Support Programme

Why not enjoy both cricket and study during the summer holidays?

The 8th Cricket Blast Series in Kaizuka will be held at Kaizuka Municipal General Gymnasium for primary school students.

Children will have the opportunity to experience the basic skills of cricket, including throwing, catching and batting, through a variety of fun games and activities.

The programme also includes a “Summer Terakoya” study session, where children can work on their summer homework or other schoolwork. University students will be available to help with any questions.

No previous cricket experience is required. Two different courses are available according to the child’s age and experience level.

Participation is free of charge. We look forward to welcoming you!

Eligibility Primary school students of all grades and genders

Participation Fee Free

Capacity 15 participants per course

Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will close once each course reaches capacity.

Course Information

Enjoy Course — Level ★☆☆

This course is mainly designed for younger and middle-grade primary school students.

Participants will be introduced to cricket through enjoyable games involving catching, throwing and batting. It is ideal for children trying cricket for the first time.

Game Course — Level ★★☆

This course is mainly designed for middle- and upper-grade primary school students.

Participants will play a simplified version of cricket. Hit the ball, run between the wickets and see how many runs you can score!

• 9:15–9:30 a.m. — Registration
• 9:30–10:30 a.m. — Cricket experience
• 10:40–11:40 a.m. — Summer Terakoya study session

• 10:40–11:40 a.m. — Cricket experience

Participants may join two consecutive hours of cricket activities, provided that the course level is suitable.

It is also possible to participate in the cricket session only. However, participation in the Summer Terakoya study session without joining the cricket session is not available.

Children attending the study session should bring their own summer homework, study materials and stationery.

The registration deadline is three days before each event date. However, registration may close earlier once the maximum number of participants has been reached.

Please note that photographs and videos taken during the event may be used to promote the Japan Cricket Association and its activities.
