What better way to inspire the next generation of cricketers than by giving them the chance to play in their very own World Cup?

During the Men’s T20 East-Asia Pacific World Cup Qualifier in Aichi and Sano, more than 100 children took part in the Criiio World Cup across two exciting days. The tournament followed the journey of the Japan Men’s National Team as they progressed through the Group Stage in Aichi and into the Super Sixes in Sano.

The Criiio World Cup offered far more than just cricket. Participants enjoyed a memorable experience that included playing matches, receiving official event t-shirts, caps, mini bats and flags, walking out with the teams for national anthems, and meeting international players for autographs and photos.

To add to the international atmosphere, each team represented a different East Asia-Pacific nation, giving players the opportunity to experience the pride and excitement of international cricket. The event created lasting memories while helping participants develop their skills, make new friends, strengthen their passion for cricket and learn about the world.

With the support of the ICC East Asia-Pacific region, Japan Cricket Association, and the participating national teams, the Criiio World Cup successfully connected grassroots cricket with the international stage, providing a unique and inspiring experience for every child involved.
