First Ever Women’s Japan U19 National Team Selected

For the first time ever the Women’s Japan Under 19 National Team will take the field later this month as they compete in the ACC Under 19 Premier Cup in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The team, selected by Vinay Iyer & Sota Wada, will be captained by Bianca Shino-Dyson, who made her full debut just last month, and also includes two others who have represented the senior team in Mamta Kaswan and Palak Gundecha.

The tournament will feature 13 teams spread across four groups with Japan, like the senior team was, grouped with Thailand and Myanmar.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the knock out stages, while the remaining teams will play two more matches to decide final placings.

The tournament will commence on Saturday 11th July, and the final will take place on Saturday 18th July.

All matches will be live streamed on the ACC YouTube Channel.
