The National Selection Committee for the Japan National Academy Squads (Men’s U19 and Men’s U16), chaired by Reo Sakurano-Thomas, has announced the squads for the 2026 season.
Additional players may be added during the season based on performances.

The National Academy has three sections: Men’s Under 19, Men’s Under 16 and Women.
Each category is a group of promising players within the relevant age group that take part in an annual programme of training, matches and other development activities.
The aim of the Men’s U19 category is to build an inspirational Men’s U19 Japan National Team, while the Men’s U16 category aims to develop the next generation of players.
Men’s U19 Japan National Teams that play International Cricket are selected from both the Men’s U19 and Men’s U16 categories of the National Academy.
Players in these squads may also be selected to represent the Men’s Japan National Team in international matches and tournaments
