The Japan Olympic Committee has approved the 15-player team chosen by the Japan National Selection Panel to represent Japan in the men’s cricket competition at the 20th Asian Games, which will be held in Nisshin City, Aichi Prefecture, this September.
The announcement follows the draw which took place on Thursday 23rd July where the Japan team was named in Group A alongside Afghanistan and Nepal. The top two from each group will progress to the Quarter Finals where they will meet one of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh or Sri Lanka.
The dates and times of the fixtures will be confirmed soon.
The squad includes ten players who featured at the delayed 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, while Jake Kusuda is selected in a Japan National Team for the first time.
