The Women’s Japan National Team have arrived in Malaysia to participate in the 18-team Asia Cricket Council Premier Cup which started today.
The National Selection Committee has selected the following 14-player team to represent Japan as they aim to qualify for the Asia Cup.

- Shimako Kato (Gunnersbury Women's Cricket Club)
- Ayaka Kato-Stafford (Western Suburbs District Cricket Club)
- Elena Kusuda-Nen (Sendai University Cricket Club)
- Erika Oda (Kawasaki Knight Riders Cricket Club)
- Kurumi Ota (Kawasaki Knight Riders Cricket Club)
- Bianca Shino-Dyson (Bellingen Cricket Club)
- Seika Sumi (Sendai University Cricket Club)
- Mai Yanagida (Wyverns Cricket Club) *Captain
- Nonoha Yasumoto (Kawasaki Knight Riders Cricket Club)
The group stage will be played from 3 to 9 June, with teams divided into four groups. The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarter-finals on 10 June. The tournament will then continue with the semi-finals, third-place playoff and final.
Japan has been drawn in Group A alongside Thailand, Myanmar, Bahrain and Mongolia.

- Group B: UAE, Oman, China, Philippines, Saudi Arabia
- Group C: Indonesia, Malaysia, Kuwait, Singapore
- Group D: Nepal, Hong Kong China, Bhutan, Qatar
